Finally, some good news about the NBA. The five-month lockout end and the season begins on Christmas Day. A tentative agreement has been made but 29 owners and 450 players will still have to vote for the deal to be effective. According to NBA Commissioner David Stern, the agreement was "subject to a variety of approvals and very complex machinations, but we are optimistic that will all come to pass."
If all goes well on the pending agreement, the 2011-12 season [which could be a 66-game season] will begin on December 25. Below is the 2011-12 general breakdown of "hopefully" the upcoming season:
Regular Season Start Date: December 25, 2011
Regular Season End Date: April 26, 2012
Playoffs Start Date: April 28, 2012
Last Possible Finals Date: June 26, 2012
Note: Full schedule hasn't been released yet.
What are your thoughts on this? Still excited? Or did the five-month lockout spoiled the thrill?

Still excited! Can't wait for it to start. Yeah, I've got a little bit of a bad taste in my mouth from the lockout, but I'm fired up that we'll be seeing games soon.
Same here! I was getting frustrated about the lockout but when the news breakout that the season will be starting this Christmas Day, I was so ecstatic!
Thanks for dropping some comments Aaron! :)
